Content: Why It Matters Big Time!

Do you do this too?

Open Instagram, LinkedIn (or your preferred social media of choice) and feel the surge of content upon you.

Sure, there's the good stuff. And your favourite accounts and then there's ... stuff.

As a copywriter, I often wonder though ...

Why does some of the collective post their lunch? Snap their gym sessions? Flash their cars? (less so on LinkedIn), and why 'should' I care?

CARE is nurtured through thoughtfully curated moments.

I say moments because, no matter the type of post or content being shared, we exchange a moment of our lives to consume it.

What we digitally digest affects our hearts, minds and physiology.

WHAT we share really does matter.

Our world is so incredibly noisy. Our time so limited.

SO, before firing my wordsmithian gun, I run copy through the care filter - asking myself:

Why am I posting this? Why should anyone CARE?

I invite you to reflect with me:

➼ Are you providing food for thought?

➼ Will it improve my/their moment?

➼ Will it contribute to the growth of what I/they love and care about?

➼ Will it uplift or make someone laugh?

➼ Are you seeking to 'GET' something or 'GIVE' something?

Instead of creating content for content's sake, what would happen if we became more purposeful with our posts?

Can we (as a collective) ENHANCE our reader’s moment rather than fill their space with something superfluous?

I'd love to hear your perspective.

Thanks for being here.

Much Warmth,

Monica
